Contemporary luxury is the most requested style in Bengaluru’s newer apartments and villas, and for good reason. It is warm without being traditional, modern without being cold, and it ages well. Its strength is balance: clean lines and simple forms, softened by natural materials and careful light.

The palette: warm neutrals

Beige, sand, greige and soft white form the base, with wood in mid to warm tones and touches of black or bronze for definition. This palette makes rooms feel spacious and lets materials stand out.

Wood and stone together

A wood-slat or fluted panel on the TV wall, a stone or stone-finish surface on a feature wall or counter, and wood again in the furniture. Repeating the same two or three materials through the home is what makes it feel designed.

Cove lighting and soft glow

Contemporary luxury relies on indirect light: cove lighting in the false ceiling, lit niches and wash lights on textured walls, with spotlights only where needed. See our lighting guide.

A designed entrance

The foyer sets the tone. A panelled wall, a floating console, a mirror and concealed shoe storage give the home a composed first impression.

Furniture with simple, generous forms

Low, deep sofas, rounded coffee tables and upholstered beds with clean lines. Custom pieces sized to the room keep proportions right; see luxury living room ideas.

Calm bedrooms

A wood-panelled or upholstered headboard wall, warm cove light and full-height wardrobes finished to match. See luxury bedroom ideas.

Clean-lined bathrooms

Large-format tiles, a wall-hung vanity, a backlit mirror and a glass shower partition keep bathrooms simple and easy to clean.

Contemporary vs minimalist

Contemporary luxury allows more warmth, texture and decoration than strict minimalism. If you prefer an even quieter home, read minimalist luxury interiors. To see a full home in this style, explore our Contemporary Luxury 3BHK concept.
