Home Renovation in Bangalore: Interior Renovation for Apartments and Villas

Home renovation in Bangalore usually starts with one complaint: a kitchen that no longer works, wardrobes with sagging shutters, damp patches, dated ceilings or a layout that does not fit the family any more. ModScale renovates the interiors of apartments and villas you already live in, from a single kitchen to a full-home refresh, planned in 3D and built by one team.

What a renovation can cover

  • Kitchen renovation: new modular units, countertop, backsplash, chimney and hob, often within the existing plumbing. See kitchen wall tiles design and kitchen accessories.
  • Wardrobes and storage: replacing old carpenter-made units with full-height modular wardrobes and lofts.
  • Living room: TV unit, panelling, false ceiling and new lighting.
  • Bedrooms: bed back walls, beds with storage, study units.
  • Ceilings, lighting and electrical: new false ceilings, layered lighting and the wiring to support it.
  • Painting and finishes, curtains and loose furniture where in scope.

Civil work such as moving a wall, redoing a bathroom or changing a kitchen platform is scoped explicitly at the site visit, so it appears as a visible line in your quotation rather than a surprise later.

Renovating a home you live in

Renovation is harder than fitting out an empty flat. We plan the work room by room where possible, protect floors and furniture, keep noisy work within your association’s hours and clean up at the end of each day. Because most joinery is made in our production setup, the time spent in your home is shorter than with on-site carpentry.

Check before you renovate

  • Dampness: treat leaks and seepage first, or new woodwork will suffer. See termite and moisture protection.
  • Termites: inspect and treat old woodwork before it is removed.
  • Electrical capacity: older homes may need new circuits for modern appliances and lighting; see electrical planning.
  • Association rules: working hours, debris removal and deposits.

How a renovation runs

An initial discussion of what is not working; a site visit to measure and inspect; a 3D design and written specification; production; then installation in an agreed sequence, with snagging and handover. Payment is staged against those milestones. The full sequence is on our process page.

What drives renovation cost

The amount of joinery, the board and finish, the hardware, any civil and electrical work, and how much has to be removed first. A kitchen-only renovation and a full-home refresh are very different numbers. Our guides to what drives interior cost and comparing interior quotations explain how to read a quote, and our interior cost calculator gives a rough range from published industry rates.

Frequently asked

Can you renovate only the kitchen or only the wardrobes?

Yes. We can plan a smaller scope, such as a new kitchen or wardrobes, or a full-home refresh, and quote for exactly that.

Do we need to move out during the renovation?

Not usually for a partial renovation. For a full-home refresh, moving out for part of the work makes it faster and less stressful; we will advise after the site visit.

Do you handle civil work?

Civil work is scoped explicitly at the site visit and shown as a separate line, so you can see exactly what is included.

Which areas do you cover?

Across Bangalore from our studio in HSR Layout. See our pages for Sobha Dream Acres, Purva Panorama, Adarsh Lakefront and more.
